Rpg Game Character Customization

  1. May 17, 2010 Xenoverse 2 is a fighting-RPG game hybrid, and if you like Dragon Ball it is very nice to play. Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires and Samurai Warriors 4: Empires are excellent in their own right as a 'hack'n slash' RPG hybrid. Wasteland 2: Customization exists, but the main reason I recommend this one is due to the gameplay.
  2. Each character has dozens of skills, plus you have this additional passive skill tree that you unlock through cleansing shrines. Then there is item customization with crafted 'modifiers', adding additional unique stats and skills that you can use, all this adds literally to thousands / millions of character possibilities.

Pocket Legends (Android, iOS) Pocket Legends is a mobile RPG with 3D graphics developed. What are some good rpg-ish games with good character creation? User Info: DarthKamcio. DarthKamcio 5 years ago #1. I'm looking for a single player game where I can create my own character and 'build' them with talents or any similiar conception.

This is a plugin that allows players to create their own custom characters in game (+more!).

Look at the code or download the Plugin:

Character Creator EX
SumRndmDde

This is a plugin that allows players to create their own custom characters
in game.

A menu system in which the player can create a character can be called
upon at any time and assigned to an Actor. Once an Actor has been assigned
a custom character, that character will be used on the map and in side-
view battles.

In order to modify the properties of the sections and pieces, one must
use the Super Tools Engine. Simply go to:

Database EX BAK Custom Editors BAK Character Creator Editor

With this, you’ll be able to easily customize the various properties
that exist within the sections!

Setting up Files

In order to set up the “generator” pieces, you need to create a new
folder in the “img” folder called “character-creator”.

So the file location should be:

/img/character-creator-ex/

Within this folder, you need a folder for each section, for example:

/img/character-creator-ex/Body/
/img/character-creator-ex/Mouth/
/img/character-creator-ex/Nose/
/img/character-creator-ex/Glasses/
etc…

Within each of these folders, you’ll also need 4 more folders:

/walk/
/dead/
/face/
/sv/

As you can probably guess, each of those folders will contain the
corresponding walking, dead, face, and side-view parts of the
parent folder.

For example, in order to store the “Face” parts of the “Body” section
you would place them in:

Customization

/img/character-creator-ex/Body/face/

Other Images

Finally, you’re also going to need a couple required images placed in:

Character

/img/SumRndmDde/character-creator-ex/

These images are:

Customization

Background.png
CustomCharacter.png
CustomFace.png
Walk-Background.png
Dead-Background.png
Face-Background.png
SV-Background.png

The “Background” image will be used as a background for the character
creator if you choose to use it.

The “CustomCharacter” and “CustomFace” will be used in scenarios where
a custom character’s Character or Face image cannot be loaded.

The “____-Background” images are used as piece backgrounds in the
editor itself.

Opening the Character Creator

In order to set up the Character Creator, use the Plugin Command:

OpenCharacterCreator [actorId]

Set “actorId” to the Actor ID of the Actor you wish to create images for.

For example:

OpenCharacterCreator 3
OpenCharacterCreator 7
OpenCharacterCreator 26

Showing Dead Custom Character

Use the following Plugin Command to make an Actor use their “dead”
custom character image:

SetDeadCustomCharacter [actorId] [true/false]

This will set it so the Actor defind by “actorId” will have their
dead image turned on or off.

For example:

SetDeadCustomCharacter 3 true
SetDeadCustomCharacter 8 false
SetDeadCustomCharacter 12 true

Setting Event to use Custom Character

If you wish for an event to use a custom character image, simply use
the event notetag:

<CustomCharacter: [actorId]>

This will set the event to use the custom image of the actor specified
through the “actorId” input.

Custom character rpg games

You can also set an event to use a dead custom character using:

<CustomDeadCharacter: [actorId]>

Examples:

<CustomCharacter: 3>
<CustomDeadCharacter: 23>

Showing Custom Face in Show Text

If you wish to have a character’s custom face used in a “Show Text”,
here’s what you need to do:

1) Make sure there is a face image selected for the “Show Text” event.
It can be any face image, it just needs to be there.

2) Use the following notetag in the “Show Text” box:

Jrpg games with character customization

<CC Face: [id]>

Set “id” to the ID of the Actor who has the Custom Face you wish to use.

Disabling the Custom Images

In order temporarily distable the custom images set up for an Actor, use
the Plugin Command:

DisableCharacterCreatorImages [actorId]

Of course, simply set “actorId” to the Actor ID you wish to disable
custom character images for.

EnableCharacterCreatorImages [actorId]

This would enable the character creator images again.

For example:

DisableCharacterCreatorImages 12
EnableCharacterCreatorImages 8

Custom Colors

While most of the properties that can be manipulated in the
“Character Creator Editor” in the Super Tools Engine are pretty
self explanatory, the color-customization section… is a bit more
difficult.

The colors are set up using JSON arrays, meaning:

[info for color 1],
[info for color 2],

[info for last color]

As you can see, each “color” is separated into its own brackets.
Every color is followed by a comma except for the last one.

Now within these colors, you may customize the:

– Name
– Hue
– Saturation
– Brightness
– Grayscale

For example:

[“Blue”, 100, 0, 1, 0.5]

This would set:

– Name: Blue
– Hue: 100
– Saturation: 0
– Brightness: 1
– Grayscale: 0.5

You are not forced to fill out all of the properties however. In fact,
the less you fill out, the better. For a simple Hue shift, all one
needs to do is:

[“Green”, 200]

This will create a simple color called Green that shifts the hue by 200.

The limits that may be defined through the properties are as follows:

– Hue [0 ~ 360]– Saturation [-1 ~ 1]– Brightness [0 ~ 1]– Grayscale [0 ~ 1]

One of the things I love most in a RPG (Role-Playing Game) is the possibility of creating my own character with tons of different options and add-ons. I made a research yesterday and found some interesting PC Games I already knew about, adding them to the titles I have or plan to get with the best Character Customization. I’m going to list them here for you guys also attaching a few videos so that you can see directly how they work and what kind of possibilities they offer.

Follow me under the cut if you’re curious!

I’ve been introduced to this type of creation with a game I still keep in my heart and consider one of the best of all times; The Sims 2. Seriously, I’ve created so many 3D characters that if I could win an award I’d have 200 on my shelf by now.

With that said, here you are my personal list of PC games with their awesome customization in no particular order:

I tried this game myself (the free beta that is) a few times in the past and I swear the CC included in it is currently one of my favorite. Without the complete pack I probably didn’t have a lot of additional options available in terms of clothes, makeup and hair, but what truly mesmerized me at the time was the shaping tool, not yet common in games when they released EVE. You can grab and drag different parts of the head and body, modeling unique characters every time.

2. Black Desert Online

This game has been released recently with two different packages and it seems to be quite a popular MMORPG (Massive(ly) Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) in Russia and Korea. I’m not surprised considering the quality this game seems to have and its customization is clearly no less. Just like EVE Online, Black Desert offers a good sculpt instrument to shape faces and bodies as much as you like, plus a beautiful variety of colors and combinations.

UPDATE: The game is also available on Steam!

3. Blade&Soul

This is another Asian MMORPG with the classical ‘Anime’ style, you cannot freely reshape the character’s structure, only pick one of the available presets and play around with the sliders to modify the whole body. Still, I honestly like the bright colors, the races/classes and the fact that you can actually recreate other existing characters using additional content (just like this guy did with Cloud from Final Fantasy VII).

4. BLESS Online

Yes, another Asian online title. Hey, it’s not my fault if they look so pretty! Bless is quite recent and not yet released in its final stage, but judging by how the CC works you have as much freedom as in EVE or Black Desert and the same unmistakable Fantasy touch.

5. The Sims 4

Didn’t I mention The Sims 2? Well, looks like the latest title in the series has improved quite a lot in this area. The shaping/sculpting method is here as well, considering that we finally have more possibilities I certainly won’t complain!

Note: In this video I can see the woman has a few mods installed. If you decide to get this game (or even the previous chapters) I definitely suggest you to do the same if you don’t like the default character design.

6. Fallout 4

Another recent (and quite famous) game. Apparently you can only work on the face here, but once again we see the sculpt tool in action. Even if the hair options are a bit limited you can still customize your character and create unique features playing around with your cursor.

7. Dragon Age: Inquisition

Who knows me is well aware of the fact that I am completely OBSESSED with this game, thus I couldn’t really leave it out. The hair options are definitely questionable and just like in Fallout 4 you do not have any body morph nor slider to alter, but as you can see from this video example you are still able to personalize your Inquisitor in a good way, also using real people or other characters as reference. To be honest I like some of the default presets too, if you don’t like spending two hours working on a face (I do that all the time, but I am a basket case so please ignore my madness :P), you can pick those and get a good result nonetheless.

And don’t forget about mods! 😉

8. Skyrim (The Elder Scrolls V)

This one has been around for a very long time and it remains probably the top 1 Fantasy game out there. If you’re not into mods at all and want to keep your game vanilla be sure that the overall quality is not as improved as the current generation, you can see that from the low-res hair and general textures. The reason why I’m including this CC in the list anyway is because even if old, Skyrim looks quite good compared to other games where you only get 3/4 slider options.

9. APB Reloaded

Custom Character Rpg Games

The last game I’d like to mention (and I literally just discovered it) is this not so new title which has a kick-ass Character Creator. Not only it shows some quality graphics there, but the level of customization is unbelievable! You can make hair shorter, beards longer, create beautiful tattoos (and place or rotate them wherever you want!), add patterns to clothes and even get your personal car! 😀

Rpgs With Character Customization Pc

There are of course many other games with a Character Creator, but they all seem pretty similar or not good enough to be mentioned in my list.

What do you think about these? Let me know with a comment if you like!
